To prepare your home or business to harness the positive energies associated with abundance, prosperity, family togetherness, health, and love as Thanksgiving approaches, and the season of fall is here until the arrival of the next change of season which is the Winter Equinox. (December 21,2024 at 4:19am EST) I would encourage anyone that is interested to consider following any or all of these very positive practices. It is essential to align your space with the intentions you wish to cultivate. Below are some effective ways to welcome these energies, creating a harmonious and nurturing environment for all.
Abundance
• Set Up a Cornucopia Display: The cornucopia, or horn of plenty, symbolizes abundance. Fill one with seasonal fruits, nuts, and vegetables (real or artificial), and place it at your entryway or on a central table to attract the energy of plenty into your space.
• Create an Abundance Altar: Choose a small table or shelf and adorn it with symbols of abundance, like coins, crystals such as citrine or green aventurine, and images of things you wish to manifest. Add a green or gold candle to light daily. (Candles need to be burned for a minimum of 10-20 minutes daily, ensure your use of an open flame is always safe)
• Use Abundance Affirmations: Write positive affirmations about abundance and place them around your home or business. Try phrases like, “Abundance flows easily into my life” or “I welcome all forms of prosperity.” If your preference is to keep your use of affirmations private, affirmations are just as effective “hidden” as in plain view. Tuck them behind pictures, paintings or other art work or under a cash register or in your purse, briefcase or petty cash box.
• Scatter Bay Leaves for Prosperity: Bay leaves are known for attracting abundance. Place a few under doormats, in drawers, or around cash registers. They invite prosperity while also protecting against negative energy.
• Decorate with Harvest Symbols: Pumpkins, gourds, and corn are symbols of the harvest and can be placed around your space to welcome in a bountiful energy. Their earthy presence reinforces the connection to abundance. Ideally, place these items in groupings of odd numbers maximize benefits.
Prosperity
• Utilize Feng Shui’s Wealth Area: According to Feng Shui, the far-left corner from your main entrance /entryway represents wealth. If you happen to have 2 entrances to the property, calculate location of wealth area from door that is largest in size. Enhance this area with symbols of prosperity, like money plants, citrine crystals, or a small water feature, like a small bubbling table fountain or aquarium. Any and all water features must be kept scrupulously clean, or you will very well invite the opposite effects into your property.
• Keep Your Entrance Clear and Inviting: Your entryway is where opportunity flows into your space. Keep it clean, well-lit, and free of clutter to ensure that the energy of prosperity can easily enter. Shoes must be contained (basket or box) or ideally out of sight completely in a closet or cupboard.
• Use Essential Oils of Prosperity: Scents like cinnamon, clove, sandalwood, and patchouli are associated with prosperity. Use a diffuser to spread these oils through the air, or add them to a floor wash to cleanse and prepare your space.
• Place Gold-Colored Objects: Gold is associated with wealth. Placing gold-colored decor, bowls, or coins (Chocolate coins are great for this – make sure everyone “gets’ a chocolate coin, upon leaving your location- this action becomes message to the universe “I am confident in the prosperity I do and have received, and therefore I am happy to share with others”) in visible places can attract the energy of prosperity. A small gold Buddha or figurine of a lucky animal can enhance this effect. Animals considered “lucky” during this season are ... squirrels, pheasants, quails, bears, bulls, deer, bats, gold fish, owls and pigs.
• Invite Prosperity with Sound: Regularly use a bell or singing bowl to cleanse the space and raise its vibration. Start at the entryway and move clockwise through the space, inviting prosperity with each gentle sound. I love hanging miniature windchimes on the inside handles of my front and back doors. According to energetic principles the chiming sound is said to resemble the chiming sound of “coins” following onto your palm. An easy and delightful way to invite the energies of abundance. Be creative and look for chimes that may incorporate colors like gold silver, and additional animal or vegetable or decorative fall energies to add additional punch to the draw of energy into your space.
Family Togetherness
• Set Up a Gathering Space: Create a comfortable seating area where everyone can relax and connect. Use cozy blankets, throw pillows, and warm lighting to make it inviting. A shared space promotes a sense of unity and togetherness.
• Display Family Photos and Mementos: Placing photos of loved ones and meaningful items around the space helps reinforce family bonds. Arrange them on a mantle or table where they can be easily seen and appreciated. Be mindful and thoughtful of uniformity of size and quality of photos, and frames, as to not create a thoughtless faux pas where one frame of a loved one is shiny and obviously expensive and someone else’s image is place in something that is battered or obviously poor quality. People will notice subconsciously if not consciously how their images is being maintained, in my experience as a Professional Psychic (often encountering the deceased as a significant part of my work), this practice also applies to images of the deceased. In cases where a deceased or living familiar member has been abusive, sadistic etc. my advice is leave them out of view in a clean simple closed box… for posterity, and for God to deal with as he sees fit.
• Incorporate Warm Colors: Colors like red, orange, and yellow evoke warmth and togetherness. Use these hues in your decor through candles, table settings, or accent pieces. They help create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Cook a Meal Together: Preparing food as a group is a wonderful way to strengthen bonds. Set aside time for family members to join in the cooking, share stories, and connect over the shared task.
• Include a Gratitude Jar: Place an empty jar somewhere accessible, and invite everyone to write down something they are grateful for and place it in the jar. Later, read the notes aloud together. This simple act fosters appreciation and closeness. I have included in previous blogs and posts my family practice of providing each family member before Thanksgiving dinner 3 pieces of paper (I usually like to make these papers in leaves shapes in corresponding seasonal colors) and ask that everyone write out one thing on each of the leaves they are grateful for in their lives currently. After they are all complete, we attach string and hang them on a small “Grateful Tree" created with a few branches from the yard and placed in a festive fall vase or pot… and during desert we usually invite youngest family member present (that can read) to read each leaf in turn. Participants are of course welcome to add their name or initials or remain anonymous. Goal here is to create a group opportunity for some fun and heartfelt remembrances, not to make anyone feel awkward about fully participating.
Health
• Bring in Fresh Greenery: Plants purify the air and are known to raise the energetic vibration of a space. Choose plants like aloe vera, snake plants, or peace lilies, which are easy to maintain and known for their health benefits.
• Use Air-Purifying Crystals: Place crystals such as clear quartz, amethyst, or black tourmaline around the space. These stones are believed to cleanse and purify the energy, contributing to a healthier environment.
• Burn Sage or Palo Santo: Smudging with sage or palo santo is a traditional practice for clearing out stagnant energy. By removing unwanted energy, you create a space that feels fresh and revitalized, supporting physical and emotional health.
• Introduce a Salt Lamp: Himalayan salt lamps are thought to emit negative ions, which can improve air quality and promote a sense of calm. Place one in a communal area to enhance the overall healthfulness of the environment.
• Prepare Nutritious Food for Guests: Offer fresh fruits, nuts, and herbal teas as snacks. Nutritious options support physical health, while the act of sharing them strengthens emotional connections.
Love
• Create a Love Altar: Dedicate a small space to symbols of love, such as rose quartz, pink candles, or fresh roses. This can be a focal point for radiating loving energy throughout the space.
• Diffuse Rose or Lavender Essential Oils: Both rose and lavender are associated with love and harmony. Diffuse these scents or add a few drops to a carrier oil and use it to anoint candles or door frames, inviting a loving energy into the space.
• Arrange Seating to Encourage Connection: In both your home and business, arrange seating so that it promotes conversation and eye contact. Avoid placing chairs or sofas with their backs to each other, as this can block the flow of love and warmth.
• Display Symbols of Partnership: Place items in pairs, like two candles or two figurines, to represent harmonious relationships especially in the household of couples. These symbols can subtly encourage partnership and balanced connections in all areas of life.
• Express Gratitude and Loving Intentions: Take a moment before guests arrive to set an intention for love and harmony. Silently express gratitude for the people in your life, and envision the space filling with a warm, loving light.
By incorporating these elements into your home or business, you are creating an environment that invites the uplifting energies of Thanksgiving, and the season overall into every corner. Whether through symbols, scents, or shared activities, each step helps to foster a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere where abundance, prosperity, togetherness, health, and love can flourish.
Blessings and best wishes to each and everyone who has enjoyed this Blog Post – May this rich and vibrant season see you and all those you care for blessed with good health, peace, love and prosperity to fill every corner of your heart, and home.
